A decent amount of new items are added with this expansion, which can be purchased for your home and community lots. These new items range from new roof tiles for your home to your own personal zen garden. While none of these new items will drastically change your game, some have unique benefits. Such as a shrine which can reward your with 1000 simoleans, or a swarm of angry bee’s depending on your luck. Also added is jewelry which can be purchased from any of the new stores, and worn by your sims by using a mirror. When your vacation is done and over with you will get rewards for a good vacation, or jet lag for the not so good ones. Overall this is one of the better expansions for the sims 2, filled with plenty of new content and worth getting if you get the chance.

There are many new actions that your sims can perform. One of the new actions is to take photos which can later be purchased as individual pictures or in an album to remember there trip. Another action added is the ability to walk to community lots, instead of taking the cab or driving. Also is the ability to dig for treasure which can turn up items such as a valuables, decorative items, and the occasional rock. These examples are available immediately while some of the other new actions can only be learned at the new vacation towns.

The Sims 2: Bon Voyage is the latest of the Sims 2 expansion packs. In this latest expansion there is great deal of new content including new items, actions, and three new locations for your sims to enjoy. The expansion comes with three locations to visit including a tropical island, a mountaintop, and an East Asia village. Each location has several Hotels for you to stay at, and vacation homes which can be purchased in game. While at any of the new locations you can learn unique interactions, or purchase souvenirs to take home from your trip. While visiting any of the local sights you can also take your choice of three different tours unique to each vacation town. Each location also contains a community lot that can only be accessed when you have found a map leading to them. These hidden locations have special tasks for you to figure out and complete.
